An average 1000 lb horse will produce 1.5 cubic yards of manure a month. Bedding,
such as shavings will add an additional .75 cubic yards per month for a total of 2.25
cubic yards of waste per month.
A cubic yard is equal to 27 cubic feet. This would be a pile 3 feet high by 3 feet wide
by 3 feet tall. |
